THE STORY
A Roman entrance to the old town
Emperor Hadrian’s visit to Attaleia left the city its most recognisable monument. Three marble arches, fluted columns and the surviving city walls mark the entrance to Kaleiçi.
The gate is open to the street day and night, making it an easy first stop from any home in the old town.
